I gave this record a 3/5 because 3 out of those 4 tracks are just what you'd expect on a 2002 remix record: Cheesy trance with an overly distorted melody.

The Brtschitsch/Wildermuth mix however is exactly what I wanted and why I did buy this vinyl: Deep tech with heavy bassdrums and a progressive edge.

If you know Brtschitsch's repetitive techno productions, you know what this Remix sounds like too. It's not exactly peaktime material, but the drive and the hypnotic elements combined with the well known vocals make it a perfect filling track for a dirty Techno set.

The First and probably the Greatest EURODANCE song Of All Time.

The title track is a incredible success over the world, when i'm listening, still remembering of old (and happy) days. But the release have a surprise: Both versions of "see the light".I bought several disks and a lot of web searching to finally find these versions. Both versions are better than the original. "Hard kick family version" is more oriented to the dance floor, while the "hypnotic base line" is really hypnotic, but less danceable. Strange this song does not have its own release. She deserves.

Great remix of this classic dance track - prefer the CJ Stone remixes

In my opinion no remixes have ever even come close to the genius and classic timeless sound that the original version have. They are all pointless. After listening to them you are always left wanting to play the original, and that means something.

I'm surprised that this isn't entitled Snap! Vs. Veracocha as it rips off "Carte Blanche" in a big way! In the same principal as what Hard2Beat did with Sash! and Stunt ("Encore Un Fois Vs. "Raindrops") they have laid the "Rhythm Is A Dancer" vocals over a slightly updated version of the Veracocha trance anthem. Surprisingly they have even included some of the Turbo B rap!

"Rhythm Is A Dancer" is one of the rare Eurodance tracks to have attained the status of absolute classic. Clubs and radio stations around the world are still playing it. We've heard dozens of remixes of this song over the years. Did it needed so many versions? In my opinion, no. I think the best remixes of "Rhythm Is A Dancer" are still those who were released with the original version back in 1992. On the previous CD 1 of this 2 CD set, the Dance 2 Trance rework was a pleasant atmospheric adventure. The Rhyth Kid Version is similar, but with a melancholic touch: Thea Austin's emotional chant is reworked. Todd Terry unfortunately removes everything that made the track such a tremendous hit in his version. His succesful remixes for Everything But The Girl were not too far ahead in time (1994), so he eventually got better and better. The instrumental version (track 3) is the perfect way to end the set. Guaranteed nostalgia.

This is a tune I find myself going back to even after all these years. It has a king of simplistic, timeless quality about it. Maybe its the naive nature of the tune, maybe its the memories and maybe its the dancer on the label picture performing a tricky backflip whilst his apparently enormous penis dangles freely in the breeze. For whichever reason, this release has kept me jumping for joy and questioning the concept of penis envy for well over a decade.
