If you thought the Nellee Hooper version of "6 Underground" was a pleasant addition to the original, wait till you hear the Umbrellas Of Ladywell mixes. Both of them were reconstructed with a full orchestra to support the vocals. The first version is the classical one, 1% slower than her counterpart. We hear the voice of the spectre, guitar and other effects much clearly since there are no percussions. The second version have a big Hip Hop beat on top, bringing the standard to a higher level.
The Richard H. Kirk Mix is a lot less interesting. Only a small amount of the vocals was kept into the final product, also set to downtempo mode.
The Perfecto Mix is another variation in the same genre, but once one have listened the 'Umbrellas Of Ladywell' mixes, it seems the level of perfection is hard to attain.
There were at least a dozen remixes for '6 Underground'. Another Maxi-Single contains many other interesting versions. And if it's wasn't enough, the Italian duo Eclipse (Bini & Martini) covered it in 2003. Anybody can find it's own favorite.
