Reviews & Discussion

Review by maldoror May 28, 2003
Different to Snog albums from the past this one is all acoustic with electronic beats and samples. This album was released in march and i have been enjoying a lot since i got it. The first track 'Bad Planet' is a nice slow number with popping electronic sounds behind the guitar and with all tracks on this album the vocals are very clear and the lyrics something to think about. Inside the nice package is a message from Francois Tetaz speaking of his regard for Mr Thrussell and how song number 3 'Fill My Hole' is the much discussed hit of 2003, i havent heard any discussion however it should be heard. Definately my favorite track on the album.
Track 5 is called 'Welcome To Adelaide' and the lyrics make many shady claims about the goings on in adelaide. Another great track and i definately need to find out all the stories behind the lyrics. Number 6 is called 'Justified Homicide' and was released last year in a limited run i beleive. Its about how the killing of some people could quite easily be seen as justified, at the end rattling odd the names of some peope that perhaps could rightly be executed including queen elizabeth the 2nd, john howard, his best friend and his father. 'Into The Light' and 'Waiting' are some of the other stand out tracks of the album. That said there are certainly no duds. If you want something to think about aswell as listen to then grab this album.
