First : Compliments to jairinho for submitting this with all the right featuring artists, way beyond the albums info. This is probably the best HipHop album ever , period. At least the best G-Funk album . Although it is deep and coming from the streets amd a sometimes depressing surrounding, Snoop "Doggy" Dogg always keeps his fine humor in most trax. Plus the production , esp. the bass programming and the use of old Moog Synthies for very high melodie-lines let's the music breathe. When i first got that CD i immediately recorded it on tape for my Walkman . During an exceptional hot summer in Europe in 1994 i had enough time to listen to Doggystyle. I never got fed up with this entertaining album. Today i listend to it again after years and was as excited and amused as ever. Especially LODI DODI is such an entertaining masterpiece of Story Telling (courtesy of the great Slick Rick). Snoop's rhymes, the accented Bass, that sets the pace and the female vocals make this special. Of course "Lodi Dodi" ain't the only Highlight on this perfect CD. "G'z Up Hoe's Down" , "Murder Was The Case" and of course all the big Hit Singles + Videos are astonishing till today.( being the one that gots played the longest was the one released the last = DOGGY DOGG WORLD: That was shown daily on MTV in Europe the whole summer till Oktober. From the intro to the finishing, very aggressive ragga-influenced PUMP PUMP with the LADY OF RAGE shining bright this got CLASS written all over. Another point making DOGGYSTYLE extra-classic is the fantastic sound quality, production and mastering. The Sound is much better than most G-Funk albums released today (10 years later)....
