Reviews & Discussion

Rated 4/5

IMO, this album (along with Goo, Daydream Nation, and Dirty) started my love for the grunge and experimental, messed-up sound of Sonic Youth. This was the first CD I picked up by them (used with a thrashed booklet and writing all over the inside) and it really helped me see inside the movement of the early 90's alternative scene that was already in full-storm by the time I arrived. I love every experiment with pedals, random maraca-drumming rhythms, feedback-laden track on this CD. Pick it up right away.
