Soul Center - II

Oh my....what a release ! I can`t help to say it straight: This music is so exciting, so dynamic, groovy, clever and ..yes... sophisticated , it`s really unbelievable. Brinkmann`s concept of using samples from (more or less) famous soul tracks is so simple as it is effective. It nearly hurts to hear how perfectly placed every of his samples is. Just listen to "are you ready" or "respect" and you know what I mean. Historically speaking: This CD/LP also helps you understand where Techno is basically coming from. But thats just a little bonus, because Brinkmann is not didactic. Like every good artist . Isn`t that so ? (And he knows, because he was one before he was starting his career in music bizz). All in all, there is nothing more to say then this: It`s a masterpiece. Really ! One of the finest records I know.. And you can be sure, I`m not using that term too often.
