Soulsearcher - Can't Get Enough

One of my all-time favourites, this beautifully uplifting piece of get-you-feeling-great House music always makes an appearance during my pre-midnight sets. Soulsearcher have a knack of producing wonderfully tranquil yet undeniably groovy tracks, courtesy of using live bass and a live diva with a classic Gospel quality to her angelic voice.

While the original mix is by far the best, the flipside shines an intriguing new light on the original concept. There are two mixes by Robbie Rivera, one which is worth writing home about and the other which you should just enjoy enjoy at the resort. The former has a brand new agressive bassline and some positively shredding hi-hats; this Puerto Rican is determined to get you out of that corner and onto the podium. The former is an almost cha-cha sounding piece of Latin funk, appropriate to play at any Latin-flavoured getup.

One of my personal faves from the late 1990s, this track has a killer bass hook and a familiar sample from Gary's Gang. Add Donna Allen's vocals with the production of marc Pomeroy; you have a classic that DJs can use for years. Jazz-N-Groove also add a nice slant to it with their disco-throwback mix. Robbie Rivera's mix is typical of his 'filter madness' days. Stick with the original mixes; you'll be glad you did.
