"Sometimes when you start doing arrangements on a computer, you lose the feel of the music. Therefor most of the tracks on this album were mixed and arranged 'live' in the studio."
"It has always been there, you just have to discover it."
Recorded at the R&S Laboratories on Electric Island in Ghent (Belgium).
Definetly a classic. Drifts between progressive trance and industrial techno but never loses focus; this really is about different journeys! Even tough i think some of the tracks sound a little dated today ( 2007 ), tracks like Point zero with its varm, lush strings and Nightshift with its pounding industrial beat ( probably just as heavy as techno could possibly get in 1994 ), more than makes up for the flaws. One of the all time greats of the genre.
YEAH! - This raw drilling piece of 2x12 work is just what I needed to fill my morning with the power to deal with a corrupt society. What the techno world needs is a place on earth where real deal innovators like Robert Leiner call the shots. Can you imagine an ideal planet where techno ruled, and The Source Experience was king? I want to jump inside this 2x12 and never leave. This double wax includes: bouncy arpeggiated synth lines , resonated squelch acid, mystical strings, feedback confusion, industrial machine sounds, drilling bass drums, bangin' percussion, and it's all fused together in a dark murky soup. THIS IS TECHNO.
