This underrated EP is probably my favourite Industrial Strength release.
"Impulse" starts with a melody that slowly speeds up, developing in the main section of the track into a hard trance monster. Then, abruptly, the track speeds up 20 bpm and adds in some Anasthasia stabs and hoovers and it turns into a more hardcore affair.
"Acid Instinct" on the other side starts out as a nice hard acid track with a fairly solid kick, and nicely progresses for a few minutes. Then, midway through the track, the next section is introduced, in a way that sounds like another record is being mixed into it. Dark pads and a nice melody introduce a much harder kickdrum and some more hardcore sounds, but keeping the acid.
They are unfortunately not particularly DJ-friendly, but the originality definitely makes up for it. An essential for any old hardcore or hard trance DJ.
