At the time of its release, "Loudboxer" was pretty much louder than anything else floating around the market and boxed the competition right out of the frame. To be precise, on this release, Speedy J dropped the break beatish elements, the IDM and industrial influences of his previous albums, the ambient soundscapes of the classic "G Spot" are nowhere to be found, but to make up for, or better said, to replace all of the above, Speedy J goes back to basics, and hits hard with some menacing and uncompromising dance floor material, which is yet to leave a crowd dissatisfied. The music is great, the tracks flow in and out of each other with such ease, I often mistake the album for a DJ mix. Barely any time left here for pauses - hard, fast, percussive, drifting, massive and super pounding techno. Dance or die!

My favorite hard techno album that I have heard. He does a lot of cool poly-rhythmic phrasing in the auxilary instruments that come in and out of sync with the 4-on-the-floor kick.

The album ramps up slowly and definitely reaches its peak with the live "Krick" that has live microphones set up to hear the sound system and the audience. You can hear people whooping and going apeshit to his filter sweeps. Absolutely banging stuff.

The last track, "Pannik," is beautiful and builds patiently.

By track 6 i am in a stoned haze, and i've just been drinking coffee. Stomping 4-on-the-floor hardhouse with deft selections of percussion and textures. Excellent material for a dancefloor mix or an extended journey into your favorite screensaver. Those seeking melodies should look elsewhere.

Excellent, hard, fast Speedy J. Although not really a 'mix', one track does flow right into the next. The first half of the album is nice, a bit more laid back(If you can call anything Speedy does laid back!). Then in the middle, he goes into a second 'set'. By track 10, the paint is coming off the walls. Very hard percusive material. I love it. My neighbors don't.

Not only the hardest Hard Techno one can imagine, but also a well-composed climax that leads us from the ambient-tinged effects of the first track, thru the spaciness of multifaceted sounds until the explosion of unrelenting industrial fury.
A journey worth experiencing.

though this album is definately not a bad album, I must say that I liked his period of idm/industrial influenced music more. the stuff released on warp and a shocking hobby are just more intricate, more interesting to listen to. but I guess this album was meant as a banger for the dancefloor, and it definately fills that purpose.
