Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by DOE-DOE Oct 05, 2007
This album is dubbed as one of the most influtential albums of all time and I agree. The musical arrangements on this LP is Amazing. The opener "Black Cow" combines a Funk groove with a Jazzy feel and great lyrics. "Aja" is an amazing drum track with Dr. Steve Gaad on Drums it makes it like a euphoric experience. "Deacon Blues" was called an autobiographical song for Mr. Becker and Mr. Fagen,it is a Jazz based Rock song that grooves as well.. "Peg" is the most noted song on this LP for its feel good Chunky Horns... "Home At Last" is a pure Jazz tune with outstanding Drumming by Bernard Purdie. "I Got The News" is a typical Rythem and Blues song with a Jazz feel. Last, but CERTAINLY not least is "Josie" this is a feel good Blues song with a heartwarming arrangement. If you like Jazz with a rock feel... This is what you need....
