Stephan Bodzin vs. Marc Romboy* ‎– The Alchemist

Now I absolutely adore Stephan Bodzin. But this? C'mon people. This is just utter garbage! Just because these artists are big names doesn't mean that we need to love everything they produce... What is the point of this record really? I guarantee you that anyone else making this trash would have been ridiculed. Lets be honest for once. Minimal should not equal boring. Listening to these tracks just made me want to bore holes through my skull... But i still love ya guys... 1/5 from me.

This is a great addition to any minimal house set. When I bought it back in the day, I played the hell out of it, nowadays I don't think it aged that well. It was great when this stuff was getting alot of attention, but now, not so much. Overall a good track though.

The simple, yet catchy nature of the track (basically a drum loop with a voice with distorted ohs and ahs) will allow you to do long mixes with almost any complimenting minimal track.

Very deep, a bit stompy and technoid minimal burner.
The two version of The Alchemist are very similar but differ in processing the deep, raspy, vocal-like sound from the throat of a man.
Also the endings are very useful for different preferences of the djs.
