This is an artist I'm going to keep my own on very closely. I first heard the track "Phantazmz" in a live Tiesto set, and, not knowing the title of it, searched the internet high and low for a tracklisting of the particular live recording that I had. I finally found it, and saw that it was by Stephen J. Kroos. This was about two years ago, and I've been waiting patiently for this full-album release, Tecktonick. And it is no disappointment! This album is great; Kroos has a killer sound. Cheers to Anjunabeats for releasing it! I await future releases.

This is my idea of what a typical album should sound like. What can only be described as the Aural Express which carries an array of different genres in each of it's carriages. We seem to have the album split up into several known categories. There's the hard and techy stuff, the chilled soothers, the funky House-inspired bouncers, the energetically-uplifting anthems and finally, a bit of Electro thrown in for good measure.

It is a remarkable album with no specific genre-zone and it's all over the place in terms of style, which is really creative. I think Stephen has really made a name for himself with this album. And seen as it's only his debut, the future looks promising for our pal of Tech!
