Sub focus unleashes his self titled debut album which has had heavy support from Radio 1 and all the big A-list dj's in the world lucky enough to have had promo's of the album. Below are close up's of what i consider to be highlight's from this great album.
The cd starts off with the stunning 'Vangelis' inspired 'Let the story begin' with a intro that will literally knock your sock's off! and that is before the electro synth line and heavy drop which has destroyed club night's across the world!
'World of hurt' is heavy as a sumo! with it's catchy vocal's and serious sub bass drop which will shake you to the core.
'Follow the light' is one of the highlight's with it's upligting melody and clever drum programming.
'Last Jungle' has been hailed as a true original with it's slowed down amen drum's and haunting melody.
'Deep space' is Sub focus showing his dance floor credentials with this deep & rolling tune.
'Rock it' is the top 40 chart hit with a stunning intro feat the sounds championed by 'Daft punk', this has certainly recieved the most exposure from the album and has even been played by electro dj's.
'Triple x' is possibly the oldest sub focus tune on the album with it being played by Andy C nearly 2 years ago! Still it sound's fantastic with a nice catchy synth led opening and heavy sub bass.
Overall then this is a great great album that will certainly stand the test of time and hail Sub focus as one of the finest electronic producer's of this generation. Prepare to have your ear's tested and also check out the non drum & bass tune's which stand head & shoulder's along with the rest of the album.
