I need to mention Scorn here. The building tension with synth stabs, hounting hypnotic of hi hats and what a bassline, it just makes shivers to the bottom of your spine. Realy dreadfull and creepy, should listen to it alone in the woods in the night, pure horror material! This is techno at it's best: inventive, simple and carefully put together. Something that nowadays is obviously almost impossible to achieve.

The title comes from the Movie "Close encounters of the third kind"

In the scene where humans are communicating with the aliens with colour and sound, one researcher says:
"They are teaching us a basic tonal vocabulary". Hence the title for this massive and also kind of unusual piece of Surgeon.
