‘This is Dub Techno in pure Basic Channel style’. Indeed, that’s the point, Cuantico sounds like a cover band looping Basic Channel without adding a thing to the ’95 saga. It sounds truly good at first listen, very pleasant, and at the end you say, mmm, what a shiny slick polished disc this was. ->NEXT
This is Dub Techno in pure Basic Channel style. Somehow you won't believe this was released in 2003 by a Spanish artist as it is so close to a sound created in Berlin years ago. Anyway, the sound has spread around the world since then and this is an excellent album. Clearly a must have for Basic Channel fans, with Múltiplo being the stand out track.
This is truly the best dub techno work I've heard since Maurizio and Deepchord. Where the heck was I when this was released? At any rate, dubby reverberating chords echo with continual sophistication backed by innocuous beats on this album. I chose vinyl over CD for the added analog effect that makes dub music all the more enjoyable. This is a basic channel lover's dream come true, one track at a time. Deep dark dub... kind of like you're sitting inside a springverb box or something. Do NOT overlook this one, it's essential!
