This is my contestant for the prestigious price of "Heaviest album ever". I've heard alot of fucked up shit in my day but this - This takes the cake whitout even asking. There's not a single recognisable note on this album. The percussion and guitar both sounds about the same and the bass sounds like chains being thrown in an empty building. And then there's Michael Gira - God help us all. He is definitely the darkest and most hateful vocalist ever in my book. His lyrics are a gruesome, psychological nightmare. What this album basically sounds like are organised explosions with Gira howling like he's suffering immensely. Which he probably does.
This is REALLY not for everyone. Misanthropy, despair and pure hate in it's loudest, darkest and most uncomfortable form. 10 god damn stars.
