This is a strange LP, maybe a kind of equivalent to the "Garden Of The Palm EP" from Ken Ishii : It came from elsewhere (Norway here), and sounding refreshingly different, even if not always perfect.
In fact, when you hear it, you clearly imagine what Renaat must have felt : "There is potential here, we need to go out of the Uk-Belgian-german axis, let's give it a chance!"
To be precise, it oscillates between moody progressive techno and uptempo ambient, but not as you would expect : there is some kind of naive approach, some might say that at some point a bit of clumsiness, but sounding unusual. Sounds are quite classic, but the effects given to the melodies are making them original (odd slides, glissando, with some filtered melodic strings on top). Not to say that it is a melodic feast like some David Morley or some later Apollo release, but quite emotional in its own strange and sincere way.

Besides, The Magic Bottle and Rage are KILLER oldschool tracks, catchy, and either nicely crafted and stomping : them alone makes this rare one a nice addition to any collection!
