The opening and title song Dandy in the Underworld was a dramatic interpretation of how Bolan viewed his own fall from grace full of regret for wasted youth and cocaine nights. In reality this was the year Marc returned from the dead with a new credibility and a new lease of life.Slimmer healthier and meaner sounding. The album and tour was well recieved by critics, with the advent of the new wave meant that many a Bolan fan was in the driving seat of the music business. This was the album which marked a clear turning point in Bolans career, sadly, he died just six months after its release. A fine album from one of the most influencial perfomers of the 1970s
