This is one of the most unusual records in my collection. Its a quirky, psychedelic, mish-mash of sounds that definitely benefits from being listened to in an "altered state".

I love the "No Felt" mix of "Joy To The World". Built around a nice break and an almost grungey bassline, there are all sorts of cute, sweet sounds and melodies going on . It's a deeply hypnotic and uplifting tune that just puts a big smile on your face.

"Asa...Nisi...Masa" on the b-side is also a delightful, trippy little tune. There's some scratching, a big dubby bassline and some enchanting melodies. It also has an amazing shimmering sound that makes your mind tingle. Like King Tubby meets The Orb meets DJ Shadow, this is a slice of downtempo/chillout heaven.

A strange but brilliant release from the Hardkiss crew.

Criminally ignored record here! The title track is a long-time favorite of mine - fantastic churning bassline from start to finish, lots of dubbed-out echo, and plenty of dreamy flourishes on top (is that a theremin I hear?). The two A-side versions are mostly the same, but "Joy To The World (None For Me)" is the better one, structured around a quirky hook and with a bit more punch in the rhythm section. Great fun to mix this one in, even though it'll sound like nothing else in your box. The b-side offers up two lush pieces of downtempo which are not as immediately memorable, but great for after-hours head-nodding. Sort this one out!
