On the surface a cheesy and silly 1980s pop synth track, but now much later it could be considered a classic pop track of the time with cool lyrics, a strong bassline and a wonderful melody backing it up.

Not heard much anymore, it certainly provokes memories of a time when I was growing up before realising a true desire for synth-based music.

"I Love My Radio" is a track that, to be honest, I had only heard once when I was a child (around 7 or 8 years of age).

I heard it again about 3 years ago (at the age of 28) and instantly I was transported back to being in the supermarket with my mum, doing the shopping!

It is one of those tracks that you hear as a child, really like, but are too young to really desire. You know, you are more interested in M.A.S.K. and Transformers.

I discovered this track again quite by accident, and it set off my desire to investigate Italo Disco to its deepest recesses. Sure, I Love My Radio is not exactly the deepest one can dig for Italo Disco classics but it is one of my favourites.

Taffy's vocals are simply sublime, and the production is flawless. This track and this track alone began my train of thought that dance music did NOT start in 1986 with Marshall Jefferson's "Move Your Body". No, there was a bridge between disco and house, and this was it!

The cascading refrain that begins around 1:12 in this track is what truly reminds me of my childhood, along with the vocal and piano line.

A wonderful track, it keeps me happy no matter what happens in this world.
