There is an incredible amount of depth to Itoh's production on this EP that reminds me of Jay Denham's more inspired moments (in particular his 1964 EP on Cosmic). In order to feel the benefit of his careful and meticulous programming you should listen to each track in its entirety (preferably on good quality headphones that enshroud you in a blanket of sound). This will allow you to grasp the composition as a whole as you recognise the subtle effects and changes that take place on each track. Itoh's contribution to techno on this EP is 1st class and he easily places himself on a podium way above many of his contemporaries, as Mills and Hood did with their unique and minimal approach to techno in the early 1990s.
