What happened to those morbid pearls of pop, of which this band once used to string us chains of scarred angels, floating homes and ships, doomed to sail forever?
What first seemed to be only a secret experiment an album ago (quite literally), now forces us to gather in front of the harsh face of truth: this project has become just another of cEvin Key's subconscious electro-bastards - featuring Edward's voice as a distant echo, as an epitaph on this digital gravestone!
Not that I do completely dislike what Skinny Puppy's Daddy's body of work is all about, but when I buy me a jar labelled with "forgotten fruit in plain chocolate" I do not want to taste carbonized chip-throw-off.
Though I can hear the lords of transience whisper "Rest In Peace" already
and the reaper whistle in the hallway,
I will keep my wings on waiting for a gentle rain to fall...
