Slick and polished, yet unabashedly tweaked to flaunt its neo-retro patina, An Hour Brighter is a sublime excursion among opalescent textures, crisp, diminutive rhythms and analog-esque melodic cadenzas.

There are similar musical sensibilities and methodologies here to Boards of Canada, Christ., Arovane, and Bola.

This is music by which to think, reflect. It manages to be profound without the burden of self-consciousness or of needless complication. T&T speaks in hushed tones and without conceit; simple and wonderfully unadorned.

This is a great CD. Although it does have elements of Boards of Canada such as short songs, simple melodies and samples; Ten and Tracer have a style of their own. This is a great album to listen to while looking up at the stars and just relaxing after a stressful day. Each song flows from one to the other as if it where a dream filled with great drum patterns and melodies. This is a truly great classic electronic CD.

This reminds me so much of Nathan Fake. There's a definite vague similiarity to Boards of Canada with some of the synthesizers that are used. If you are a not so picky fan of BoC you may like this. If you are a diehard fan of Nathan Fake's mediocre yet pleasant release Drowning In A Sea Of Love then you may love this. I thought this Ten and Tracer release was ok but there wasn't anything about it that made me remember it once it was over.

If you are a fan of The Boards of Canada and love Music Has The Rights To Children you will absolutely Love this album.
Its better than the Boards of Canada are now 2005.
This album sounds like you want them to sound.
Ten And Tracer have there own style but this is a rip off of The Boards Of Canada sound but its a very strong and beautiful album.
This is Ten And Tracer's first album on the fantastic U-cover label and its well worth getting.

An Hour Brighter has all the trademark sounds of Boards Of Canada - spooky soundscapes, echoing voices, downtempo beats, and short interludes. Certainly not original, but a beautiful album nonetheless. Definitely Worth checking out.

This is truly an IDM classic...mellow beats, Boards of Canada-esque synths, ghostly voices in the background...one of those CD's that perfectly compliment a long drive through the wilderness or a lazy winter afternoon. A must have!
