Big tune on the pirates. I think pretty much most mixtapes featured the Armando's version of the title track. Extensively played in underground clubs and warehouse parties as well. Quite difficult to place it amongst the genres at that time as it was a pounding, simplistic, hypnotic UK sounding whistling bleep track but from the birthplace of House, Chicago, USA. Enter: early Chicago Techno House? Maybe. Floorfiller it was / is.

Special mention has to go to Mind Over Matter (The Mind Mix) for me. Really trippy, abstract, layered and rhythmic. Slightly claustrophic, neurotic even but with an eternal life force of underlying energy. I have to say, this was possibly more forward thinking for its day. Not as obvious as the other tracks. For a while back then I couldn't decide whether it was a Detroit production or originated somewhere from the backwaters of Sheffield or surrounding north of England counties. I'd never have guessed Chicago if I was being perfectly honest. Goes to show not to be presumptious.

Some excellent percussive transitions goin on ere.... Great early EP from an underrated Terry Hunter. Musique was a very happening label in 1990

Amazingly no comments for this one. Loved this from the first time I heard it on a Stu Allan Key 103 Radio ( Manchester ) mix back in 1990. It was so minimal in comparison to most other stuff at the time with a driving persistence. Only when I picked up the 12 did I get to hear the deep vortex that is back to house on the flip ( which would mix well with stuff like Fade II Black, Open House and the funky techno that was coming out at the time. Amazed this is still going so cheap. It's definitely an underground classic

One of the loudest sounding repress of early Chicago house, forget the jacking lo-fi rawness usually associated with the genre, this record is a motherfucker that will blow any speaker til 2050 and further. Impressive, and it gives a new perception of the music, which sounds nastier and more empowering and futuristic than ever.
