Tetsu Inoue's album for FAX is his first for the label since 2000 and it's a beauty. Instead of the field recording, sound installation and ultra minimal electronica that he has been pursuing for some years, Mr. Inoue returns to the deep space, lush ambient soundscapes that harken back to 'Ambiant Otaku', 'Zenith' and 'Slow & Low'. This is gorgeous, glacially slow, a symphonic epic that is not to be missed. There are very few electronic composers who make music that inspires the awe that you will experience with 'Inland'. Hopefully there will be more.
