When it all falls down, no matter your preference or penchant, this is just a stunning album by dare I say it… a genius? I am not a massive Radiohead fan and as far as knowledge of Mr. Yorke’s work stands I am sitting somewhere near the bottom of the table, but what I've heard here is testament enough. Just listen to the title track. I dare any fan of "good" music not to like it. My heart actually changes speed through out the track. This is seldom felt. Drasticaly moving stuff from a music maker who isn't scared to do something different and can take one step forward without thinking about taking two back.

"So the guy from Radiohead has his first full solo album?"

I never cared about Radiohead, but read that this solo album of Thom York would be very electronic and I saw the beautifull-artwork record hanging at a local vinyl shop. So I checked the album on the internet (mp3).
At first it was strange and dark, not one track poped out. It felt like the album could just be an online first-try of some unknown artist.
But I kept listening and after a while, like all good music, you start to hear & feel the prescision and quality behind Every track. (At first it was the track "And It Rained All Night", then "Harrowdown Hill" and now "Analyse")
It's a typical ThomYork sound with his voice, but I never find it too naging.

So anyway, today I passed the record store, and bouth the record. Guess I'm also going to check some Radiohead...

Conclusion: Dark, Sad, not too depressing but soothing. And the more you listen to it, the more you’ll love it
