Listening to this album is an almost disorientating experience, such is it's musical scope and vision. Fehlmann clearly has a wide and varied taste in music and brings a dizzying array of sounds into this release while somehow making it work as a coherent whole. Overall the mood is bright and optimistic, expansive and deep. The sounds multilayered and complex yet still accessible. Genre-wise there are elements of IDM, dub, techno, ambient, trance, orchestral music yet absolutely no signs of the cliches or formulas employed by artists in those fields. The sign of a great album is how well it stands up to repeated listens and it's hard to image ever getting bored of this. I agree with kompressorkanonen, the standout track is Face The Day. I first heard it on the Trance Europe Express compilation from 1993 and it stood out even on that classic release against artists like The Black Dog, Bandulu and Orbital. This is an essential release for any electronic collection and one of the finest albums of the 90s.

Much more accessible than its cryptic subtitle, "Good Fridge" is sweet as a nut. This is freeform, jazzy electronic listening music which is fairly inobtrusive, but Fehlmann's deft musicianship and production skills keeps it from becoming aural wallpaper. The highlight is the absolutely gorgeous "Face the Day", which is one of my favourite pieces of music in any genre and a tour de force of ambient techno; playful, bittersweet and timeless, this is the quintessential Fehlmann track. Unfortunately, the mix here is an edited version.
