Thomas Fehlmann proved (once again!) he is still at the forefront of the european electronic music scene with this high-quality Kompakt EP. "Little Big Horn" starts brilliantly, full of chords, melodies, and different textures, but suddenly takes place a more dancing platform, making this a unique track. "Brushed" has a more Kompakt minimal approach, based on loops with the repetitive basslines, with disconnected snares, creating specific grooves. "With Oil", the second track on the B side, defines the concept of the ambient-experimental sounds with excellence (if you heard The Orb’s “Loving You”, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about). Intimate and dense, this multi-chord and textures overlapping seems to match perfectly with the extended effects and dub influences. It goes far away from just being a good tune – it’s rather emotive, gorgeous, special.
