This record was groundbreaking and stands in a row with releases as "Sgt. Peppers". Definitely the first industrial-album ever, partially recorded in 1976, mostly live, this record founded a new style. It was not hailed at the time of it's release, mostly the contemporary critique and the public couldn't understand the enormous importance of it. TG's famous "Prostitution"-show at the London ICA which took place in parallel to this album's release, caused a nationwide scandal (including a debate on the british parlament) and formed the reputation of TG as the "Wreckers of Civilisation" (as a newspaper named them). From nowadays the "2nd annual report" seems a bit more harmless , but still is a brilliant piece, which can draw you deep into it. It is pure magic.
