Holy Jesus this song is AMAZING! Shinkansen is a must have if you are into House, Breaks, Techno, and anything in between. Tom Middleton is my new hero. This track rises above anything typical and ventures into the realm of pure heaven. This is the soundtrack as you lift off the ground and soar over earth, flying like an angel.

What a good way to start off a set! This one builds and builds and just becomes more and more beautiful as it progresses. It is not exactly the most dance oriented track, but that doesn't really matter. Even when played out this could work, as it is just so pretty to listen to.

Technically the beat in this track is of the "breaks" genre, I guess, but this is not a song that wants to have a genre, it just wants to show us what bliss sounds like.

Shinkansen is the sexiest groovin breaks track I've ever heard! This is the only breaks record I own and it might just be enough to get me looking into the genre for the first time. Its essentially a melodic deep house track w/ a breakbeat behind it. It has a really warm bassline and other soft jazzy elements that give me the feeling of being in a classy afterhours spot chilling with your friends, basically just enjoying the fact that you're alive and in good company. I had been listening to this track non-stop all summer on Danny Howells 2/18/07 Essential mix in my car and it was not available on vinyl until this fall. Somehow I missed the original release date and when I found it had been pressed to vinyl, well, I can't tell you how excited I was. God Bless Tom Middleton for this truly is a genre defying masterpiece.
