Again the instrumental is the mix on this 12". Nothing against Toney Lee's vocals but the funk here is all in the grooves. As for the purported influence on Metro Area? Well i saw them spin this record so I know it's in their collection. The piano breakdown and the handclap section make people go nuts. Lovely tune.

The original vocal version is a good piece of early 80's electro-influnced uptempo R&B. Then you flip to the B-side. There you find the dub, an uptempo number with great breaks and changes, which is a spectacular example of the 80's tracks that are an obvious influence for modern artists like Metro Area, Daniel Wang, Kerrier District, etc. Timeless!
