Reviews & Discussion

Rated 3/5
Review by Pelo Nov 02, 2002
"Culled from the streets of Trenton which lies halfway between NY and Philly these eight tracks formed the first grand central release. Tony is the maestro of the Emu sp1200 drum machine apiece of kit that first surfaced in the mid eighties and is one of the defining samplers of eighties hip hop. Tony mixes raucously loud drums with thick underwater bass lines and still generates a lot of soul in his recordings. This EP came about after a meeting in the Trenton ghetto overlooked by two fifteen stone Akita Japanese fighting dogs and ended with a bizarre and dangerous bus journey through Newark".
