Indeed, Waiting For A New Life is such a magnificent piece of work I won't even be bothered to comment upon the remaining two tracks, despite the fact they're both nice music pieces each in their own right.
The title track is an early goa trance epic, the trio's master stroke hardly ever matched even during the later, so called golden era of the genre. While simple in structure, it uses a very effective and emotional melody throughout, repetitive yet hypnotizing. Think of the track One Love by Electric Universe. The break at 05:18 when the classic sample is introduced into the track is followed by one of the most memorable and soothing melodies in the history of electronic music. Period. From here on Total Eclipse have only gotten more sohisticated as far as their sound goes, but in my humble opinion the humbleness and depth of Waiting For A New Life was never again quite matched. This is the stuff the whole genre was build upon. True genius. Get it, no matter how long it takes you. I'm out!

The way I feel "Waiting For A New Life" could really be THE Goa hymn. It is Total Eclipse's masterpiece and such a powerful piece of real music.
Simple but of a deep sheer beauty it is like the "Moonlight Serenade" or "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" of Goa Trance.
It tells a long, a neverending story, with its beautiful melodies it produces an emotional mood making it one of the tracks that can really make me cry for joy, desire and rememberance.
Its pumping bass line makes you dance and when the voice sample says "If I could discover just one of these things - what eternity is for example - I wouldn't care if they did think I was crazy!" you might think the journey is over, but no!;-)
The peak is yet to come, soon sending you showers of goose bump over your whole body.

The second release from the historic TIP Records (which later closed up shop and reopened as TIP World). This is a nice slice of history from Total Eclipse, one of the more important early bands that has begun to fade from site outside of the occasion track on a comp these days. Waiting For A New Life is classic piece of long, wonderfully indulgent old goa which has aged remarkably well. With proper placement, I could even see this track being used today. The sounds are all clear and crisp and the production is almost amazing when you consider the era. Transparent Mind is more typical fare from the era in question. Not bad, but a bit dated and simplistic. Bom Bole is also very much eary goa, but it pretty nice regardless. There are some interesting change ups in it to turn things on their head and again the production is pretty solid. Bom Bole can probably be used today too with proper mixing skills and sense of track flow.

End Result - an old but very nice EP from the early days of TIP and goa in general.
