Those around when this record came out appreciate how unique it was. It might as well have been Moses Kandel coming down from the mountain top with the Broadcast Standard Issue #1 and #2 in either hand. "They Came In Peace" is a seminal track in the trip-hop and ambient musical dictionary with it's dubby basslines and soothing chants. Kandel would later take the hippy vibe planted so subtly in this release and devolve into a psychedelic fog of lesser releases.
