Reviews & Discussion

Krister Linder has not only one of the best voices on this plant, earth. He is
also a very talented techno and ambient producer. "Alaskanlab Sweden
1995", from his Tupilaq project is one of the most wonderful ambient
albums I've ever heard. So mellow, smooth and beautiful that it's hard
to not get wet - in the eyes. Every track on this album is more than
fantastic, and it gets better and better every time I hear it. I can't
get enough of Krister's music. He is so versatile - please do
yourself a favour, and take a look at his other projects too. You will
be amazed! Like my good friend Jdcapshew says: Krister has a "magic
touch".

This is a beautiful slice of mid 90's ambient electronica, subdued and austere, from Krister Linder. "Alaskanlab Sweden 1995" is a logical precursor to his more rhythmic followup "First Wave" under his Solaroid moniker. Mr. Linder seems to have a magic touch, every release I've heard is quite wonderful, whether it's Tupilaq, Solaroid, Yeti, or in his various groups including Grace, Dive and Enter The Hunt. It belongs in the pantheon of that period including From Within, Zenith, Electro Harmonix and Softcore. This is one to be sought out before it vanishes altogether. You won't be sorry.
