Reviews & Discussion

Interesting note: if you put this CD into a player that displays CD-text, you'll see the following:

1. FRED6
2. RUSHUP
3. GX1

Possibly Track 2 (Alspacka, according to the label) underwent a change of title at some stage.
Rated 4/5

I don't really care if The Tuss is Richard James, Luke Vibert, Cylob or even the Pope in the flesh, as long as the music is rewarding. And, fortunately, it is in this case. Sounding more Aphex than Aphex himself, it's still fresh and inspiring. "Alspacka" is definitely a highlight here, with fantastic chords, soft dance beat and a bit of warm nostalgia. "GX1 Solo" is a sick track (try to dance to 6/8!), both melodic and uneasy. "Fredugolon 6" sounds like an outtake from the "Analords" sessions, which should be taken as a compliment. I'm looking forward to hearing upcoming LP.

I recieved my copy of this today and am very pleased with it, I am always interested to hear the latest Rephlex signings and am not dissapointed in this one, all the tracks are drenched in acid. Crisp, beautiful arrangememnts, retro drums all combine to create a multi textured miriad of colour and sonic pleasure, looking forward to the long player very much, buy it now whilst its cheap!!!!!

Also, rumour has it that this is actually the Twin man himself under a new alias, very similar production techniques and Twin Cliche's are abundant but as i said its just a rumour!!!!
