I don't know God's Secrets - I mean Mike's ones! - but I would say that this was the beginning of the High Tech Funk concept. But I also want to draw your attention on B2: the track fuses in its dark mood a Morse code which leads you to the name of the producer...

Oh yeah, the A side is one of THE funkiest UR numbers ever! Killer deep acidic bassline gives way to shuffled hihats, then the drop - extreme rushy arpeggios...you know it's gonna be a good one, and it JUST GETS BETTER! One of those UR ones you kinda feel must be Mad Mike, a unique mix of melodic sense, funky rhythms, but also a melancholy pervading the whole track. He's just so free on this, the solos in the middle are never overdone, just enough to let you know what he's feeling. Could not be anyone else EVER. If you buy one UR record, make it this.
