Force Tracks may be back, but it feels like the sound has taken a huge step towards that of more commercial club/dance, rather than the intelligent take on house previous explored. This is probably to be expected, at least given the intended future directions set out by the original Digital Disco compilation. Nonetheless, this is an enjoyable set, even if it is no "Hypercity". The unmistakable highlight of the set comes from none other than Force Tracks mainstays Crane A.K. towards the end, demonstrating a smooth transition from the days of "Polsterplanet" to the label's newer outlook. While Force Tracks has been given a second chance, one gets the feeling that most of the artists and tracks featured here won't be remembered as fondly (or even at all) as the earlier releases, but will still give us some fun times.
