This superb CD by Undo (Gabrial Berlanga) is a revelation. It's modern techno, it's sleek, and with some electro flourishes for spice. The tracks are midtempo, living room stompers, with lots of deep bass. What makes Undo sparkle is the addition of rock influences that meld perfectly with the electronic parts. There is also accomplished guitar work and Supertrampish keyboards. The occasional disembodied, spooky vocal effects are just perfect. And there are straight ahead synth pop songs like "Running Away" and "Happy Monday" where Mr. Berlanga sings with restrained intensity. From start to finish this is a cut above most everything else I've heard recently.
