Up Above The World - Trying To Reach Sawaan

First heard in a recording of Dave Holmes' (of all people) essential mix from November '93. This is acid trance but with a Goa feel to it. The "Sawaan" side is more maximal with eastern samples. The "you" side has the same bassline but done in a more tweaky, resonance turned to the max style and robotic repeating vocals. It ends with a lockgroove of a weird processed voice sample. Takes me away every time, classic. I am kind of surprised it came from America but it only make sense. Who else would put that truly psychedelic touch on it but some west coast hippy-ravers?
