Difficult to leave a clever comment on what the music evokes when the titles are so eloquent... Let us just say that the journey is as described, then, with a driver clearing their mind while starting the engine (and the radio; important, that!), then driving on long, desert roads under the Far Western sun while switching channels. A couple of Doppler effects caused by lorries coming in the opposite direction, the regular woosh-woosh of the lights on the side of the road, the growing darkness as the sun slowly sets, a break at a motel, a dream about smooth landscapes and radio nonsense, a (brilliant) Lynchian glimpse on the parking lot at night and, finally, the clock-radio waking the driver up the following morning.
A really pleasant excursion, this is. The beginning sounds like older material from Ambre and Urawa and lets one think it is going to be a long, recycled trip, perhaps like having a long drive ahead is not really something to look forward to. Then, as the experience unfolds, the atmosphere takes over, again, like a long drive, by requiring one's whole concentration, becomes somehow enjoyable after a while.
