It also samples Gwen Guthrie's voice from the song "Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent" from 1986.

However I have to disagree that "What Can You Do For Me" is Utah Saints best song. Going to clubs when I was younger, "Something Good" would begin to play and people would scream and run out to the dance floor. That never happened with the other song, "What Can You Do For Me".

I still hear "Something Good" occasionally today and it has held up well.

This and Something Good are Utah Saints' masterpieces. These two tunes outshine the rest of their output (even though that's not completely uninteresting) by far, by means of extremely solid production, great harmonic sense, and clever integration of samples. What Can You Do For Me is my preferred 12" of the two - mainly because of the better remix.

The A-side is the version popular from the UK chart which samples Annie Lennox' voice. The tune is actually hard to categorize; in the beats and bass section it has an element of late eighties synth-pop/EBM to me.
The Salt Lake Mix is as fine. It also shows a slight German and Belgian influence, but comes closer to techno with its pure and subtle synth sounds. The chords have been changed completely and all of the vocal samples are dropped except for the main line 'What Can You Do For Me', which has been cut and pasted amazingly.
Trans-Europe Excess is quite nice, it just hasn't aged as well as the other two tunes here. But when the piano kicks in, it has genuine soul!
