A regular contender in "best album of all time" lists, Astral Weeks is streets ahead of much of Van Morrison's later output. His way with words is clearly in evidence on all tracks with many passages that etch themselves in your mind.

It is a much more visionary album than his earlier work, less dependent on American R&B. The imagery is more psychedelic and rooted in Blake's spirituality.
