This is just one of the sexiest, sultriest, steamiest albums I own.
Vanessa really wraps her whole self around these rich, metaphoric poems, many of which are free verse, some times intoning breathily, sometimes only half-singing, but for the most part bringing them to life as seductive songs.
How could a song entitled "becoming a nun" sound like an invitation to bed? No such doubts about "the long tunnel of wanting you" though, some of the lyrics here are quite explicit.
Peter's production is lush and smokey, subtly funky, melding beautifully with Vanessa's voice.

Simply Superb.
