Notes

A fourteen track celebration featuring music from the Manchester area (hence the title 0161 which is the dialing code for Manchester) released in conjunction with Skam Records and Public.

The artwork was taken from stills from the I.R.A. bombing of Manchester City Centre in 1996. The compilation was released one year to the day from the original blast (June the 15th).

The disc itself features both Skam and V/Vm artists along with other local artists including The Fall who contributed a then exclusive track "Powderkex".

The disc also features a hidden bonus track from Gescom which starts at 3:36 on track 14. The artist and title name for the bonus track was revealed when Skam listed the mp3 version of the CD for sale on their website.

A pretty good compilation; the Audiomontage and Datathief tracks are especially good, the first sounds like an out take from the soundtrack to The Thing (in a good, dark, minimal, way) and the datathief is just classic electro brilliance.
