As the summer came I somehow dug this up and cleaned the dust off. I listened to alot of this couple of years back. What we get is first class goaish chill, some tracks have a pretty high bpm, but it's all done in a chilly way.
There's only some moments I don't really like, but basically no bad tracks. This compilation works best for me while walking under the hot sun since that was the setting I first heard this.

This time Interchill takes a look at the trancey side of chill. It is compiled by Andrew and Neerav, who got the idea of making this compilation after their performances at Samothraki Dance Festival 2002 in Greece. As usual, we get a beautiful cover art.

First out is Kiwa (Matti Elsinen and Markku Louhio) from Finland, who released their debut album Dreamtime Enhancer on Surreal Audio Recordings. A great album where they took experimental psytrance to another level. Here we get a new chilled track by them. Very dubby track, not totally chilled, but relaxing with several tribal influences like didgeridoo etc. Track 2 is by ABA Structure (Kenji Williams) who released his second ABA Structure album this year. Here he has collaborated with the world music singer, Irina Mikhailova again. A beautiful melodic track with her tribal voice and Kenjis violin and electronic sounds. Track 3 is by De-Fex, which is a side project of Merv Pepler, most known as Eat Static, here together with a guy named Will White. They give us a trancey dub track with several of those typical Eat Static sounds in between. Track 4 is a new track by Swedish Human Blue. Surprisingly, this is a pure progressive trance track, but nice a floating so it can be relaxing too.

Track 5 is by Taruna (Jürgen Eppinger) who is based on Bali. He has released two albums on Shiva Space Technology. This is also a track you can dance to. Totally floating sounds above some drifting beats. You also get several tribal influences here. One of the better Taruna tracks I have heard. Track 6 is by Mystical Sun who has released a couple of tracks on Ultimae Records. Here we get relaxed down tempo rhythms and smooth floating melodies. Nice one. Track 7 is my favourite track on this compilation. This is by Umberloid, which is a side project of Ott, which he does together with Chris Barker. This track was played several times on the chill out stage at Samothraki Dance Festival this year, and became almost a hit down there. Beautiful vocals, a floating vibe and relaxed dubby rhythms mixed with tribal drums. A great track I will for sure play a lot this winter. Track 8 is by Seb Taylor, most known as Shakta, Digitalis and Angel Tears. Here he goes under the name Kaya Project. A relaxed track with a lot of Arabic influences, like violin, flute and drums etc. Definitely one of the most talented artists out there who handles a lot of different music styles. The last track on this compilation is by Bluetech (Evan Bluetech). Pretty experimental track, with some jazzy vibes and weird sounds.

This compilation is good quality as most Interchill releases are. Very much variation, and a couple of really great tracks. Absolutely recommended for your winter chill!
