Well, what a disappointment to say the least. An opportunity to lay down one of the best compilation CDs ever (some wags may say an "instant Classic".....) totally goes begging here. Classic in my opinion is the most important deep house label so far, period, and will be sadly missed, which makes this release even more a travesty. A double CD release (CDs are entitled "10 Years of Eclectic Classics" and 10 years of "Boompty Classics", you'd expect nothing short of greatness especially given the amazing range of songs they had to choose from. Instead this is a hotchpotch of what I view as some of the lesser lights of Classic's releases.

Close your eyes and imagine Derrick Carter seamlessly mixing the cream of the classic crop a la Business As Usual et al, then open your eyes and listen to this.... leaves a bit taste in the mouth, doesn't it???

Classic Music Company RIP, dearly loved and sadly missed. Luke & Derrick thanks for everything, but you could have done better here lads....
