Disc 1 is where this series needs some help in my opinion. These are all of the semi-mainstream tracks that all sound exactly the same. Some of them are gems, like Robert Nickson's "Spiral", "The Search For Freedom" by Active Sight, and Ferry Corsten's fantastically dark remix of "Somebody" by F Massif. Most of the other tracks, though, are less than spectacular. Like I said before, it really depends upon your taste. If you are into the Ronski Speed style, than you will love this first disc. I guess this really isn't my style.
As usual in the "A Trip In Trance" series, Disc 2 stomps on the first disc. CD2 mixes dark, hard bangers with uplifting and emotional gems. This disc is much more underground, but the tracks are perfect. Some of the best are "Frosted" by Kyamoto, a powerful and cybernetic banger, Aura's "Intercity", which combines both emotional dream trance and dark trance, and Kaveh Azizi's remix of "Into My Dream" by Lagoona, which has stunning vocals and spine-chilling melodies. Though I just praised only three tunes, not a single track on this mix dissapoints. Not only are the tunes first class, but Plastic Angel's mixing is ace too.
Overall, the CD gets a 4/5, purely because of Disc 1. Do yourself a favour, though, and spend all the money you have on this CD because CD2 makes it worth every penny.
