First of all, the opening track of the album is my electronica all-time favorite track ; I'm talking of the whole genre here from ambient to drum & bass to splittercore from early 90s to (20)10, even exploring earlier than that.

The album is filled with track that taken into historical context, are amazing. Most of the tracks are upbeat with just a couple slow ones which are interesting, if a bit less danceable. When I listen to this album, it make me wish so hard to go back in time to kick myself in the rear to go out in rave or club so there might be a chance I could connect with other on the great (somewhat?) innovative music.

It it important to appreciate what was available at the time to understand what it meant and still means (to those aware of the context). I hope if you haven't already heard the album that you will browse a couple tracks.

No comments yet? How can this be? Isn't this Sven Väth's seminal trance compilation - back before trance degraded into inbred mindlessness? The first few tracks, esp 'Virtual Symmetry' are beamed straight from heaven. And yes you've heard these ideas a million times since - but this was the time and the place (frankfurt, early 90s) that birthed this vibe. Perhaps even more than Jam & Spoon's Tripomatic Fairytales, this is a slice of culture of that time and place. Yes we've heard these ideas a million times since but that underscores the importance of these works, not those that copied them. This was also the clique that made the Waldorf Microwave the staple of the trance sound.
